Nothing with this yarn; this is the ball Ann gave me when she taught me how to knit on enormous learners needles, and it's really thick and scratchy. I quickly ditched it in favor of some Lion brand wool in rich jewel tones. I need to finish that up some day, now that I think of it....

i see...who is ann? and what did you start with the lion brand that needs to be finished? Will you be coming back this way for the holidays at all?

Ann was the lady who lived across the street from us in Rochester. She was in her late 70s and liked to sit on her porch and knit. We'd go over and hang out with her, and she taught me. She had to have a surgery about a year before we moved away, and she didn't recover well from it... she "sold" her house to her son and went to live in a facility somewhere. I highly doubt she's still living now.

An afghan. Or something large and square. It's just about big enough to be a lap blanket for me, (so it's still relatively small) but there's not enough to wrap it around me yet. It's got stripes. I'll take a picture and put it up for ya!

Unfortunately, probably not. We're thinking we may make July 4 our dependable annual visit since most of the out-of-town Tryons are there then, and we'll fit in other times as we can afford it. Can't this year though.

well it is best to come when you can see the most of the family...knitting is fun but I get bored rather quickly i like faster results I guess so I lean towards crochet when i get a hankerin...LOL hankerin that is such ans old fashioned word
