End of August

Mon Aug 31, 2009, 2:30 PM
Vacation is great for photography; I have much more energy and time to go interesting places. The latest set is from Mepkin Abbey, in Monck's Corner, SC. Hopefully you'll enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Returning?

Mon Mar 23, 2009, 5:17 PM
Hallo. I dropped off the face of the dA planet for a while, no reason really. I just logged in to about 2,000 watched deviations and 128 messages, and for the most part did a clean sweep of it. If there was anything in there that you specifically want me to look at, please leave me a comment and I'll go poke around.

I haven't been all that inspired lately with my camera, and the photos I've taken have really been more functional for the photo album and memories and stuff and not really art, so I've felt I haven't had anything to post. I'm hoping that the arrival of spring will bring back that spark I seem to have lost temporarily.

Anyway, I intend to try sticking around for a bit, but ya never know. I hope that the muse of visual beauty has been haunting all of you in extra measure.

Finally back to it

Last night I finished catching up on all 600+ deviations that stacked up when I wasn't looking! Yay! And for a reward, I present new pix... mostly of the cats. But that's okay. =D

A Busy Autumn

Thu Oct 9, 2008, 6:28 PM
Now that it's not excruciatingly hot, the city has started to hustle! Not only that, but life is crazy for us. I just finished my last assignment for this term's classes today, so I have three days of non-schoolwork until my new class starts. We've also had a meeting (and a couple of follow up calls) with the adoption agency, and things are booking along well there.

Because of that, I currently have 530 deviations to look at. I don't intend to even think of starting until maybe tomorrow afternoon. But as much as I love good art, and I love many of you personally, right now you're not at the top of my priority list. I hope that's okay. But please don't think a lack of my response means I don't care.

Ohio Trip

Mon Aug 25, 2008, 5:49 PM
We've just come back from Ohio where we hung out with my brother and wife and my BABY KAYLEE!!! :boogie: Friday ~Spielorjh and I drove from home to my folks' house, Saturday morning we did the 8 hour drive to Ohio, then in the evening we had dinner out with our family. Sunday morning was Kaylee's dedication at church, and then we went to a local park where we all had a picnic with my sister-in-law's family, good food, games, the beach, and lots of photo taking. Sunday night was just my immediate family again (and spice) and we ordered pizza at the hotel, attempted to swim in the freezing hotel pool, and talked until we fell asleep. This morning we got up at 0-600-freaking-early and drove home... stopping in Charlotte to get some stuff and switch cars. We left my folks there.

So, I have a lot of new pix. I'll be putting them up a couple at a time as I figure out what's share-worthy.

Stay tuned!
